Plas Menai is now recruiting for a number of seasonal instructor posts for the 2010 season. The following posts are available:-

Level 1 Instructors

Various length contracts

Salary £13,070 pro rata - full board and accommodation available at £35 per week and personal protective clothing

An excellent opportunity exists for qualified watersports instructors to work in one of the UK's premier watersports centres. Ideally you will be multi-qualified in activities such as sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and power boating. The centre runs a wide range of technical and coach education courses, schools courses and community programmes. You will get the opportunity to gain further instructional qualifications and free use of activity equipment to develop your skills.

Level 2 Instructors

April - October

Salary £14,986 pro rata – plus personal protective clothing

An excellent opportunity exists for well-qualified and experienced watersports instructors to work in one of the UK's premier watersports centres. Ideally you will be multi-qualified in activities such as sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and power boating and have previous experience of working in watersports centres. The centre runs a wide range of technical and coach education courses, schools courses and community programmes. You will get the opportunity to gain further instructional qualifications and free use of activity equipment to develop your skills.

Level 3 Instructor

March - November

Salary £17,000 pro rata – plus personal protective clothing

An excellent opportunity exists for well-qualified watersports instructors to work in one of the UK's premier watersports centres. Ideally you will be multi-qualified in activities such as sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and power boating. You will also be expected to head up large school groups. The centre runs a wide range of technical and coach education courses, schools courses and community programmes. You will get the opportunity to gain further instructional qualifications and free use of activity equipment to develop your skills.

Level 6 Instructors

March to November

Salary £23,160 pro rata - plus personal protective clothing

Dinghy Sailing

A highly qualified RYA Dinghy Coach who would need to be able to run a wide range of dinghy sailing courses and coach education courses as well as instruct schools and groups as required.

Kayaking/Mountaineering

A highly qualified Kayak Coach, preferably a level 5 coach who is able to run coach education courses as well as instruct schools and groups as required, mountain based qualifications would be an advantage.

The centre runs a wide range of technical and coach education courses, schools courses and community programmes. You will get the opportunity to gain further instructional qualifications and free use of activity equipment to develop your skills.
