This course is intended for emergency services, or rescue teams who will be required to carry out rescues in a swiftwater and flood environment, including swiftwater capability suitable for fast moving rivers and flash flood conditions, it is based on the philosophy of self-protection. It applies dynamic risk assessments to complete successful safe rescues from a boat in a variety of complex swift water scenarios.
Completion of the RYA Pwerboat Level 2 course and qualification would be benefical, however not compulsory, before attending. For more information on this click here.
Equivalent to a Defra Module 4 - Water Rescue Technician - Specialist rescue operation. This is a Rescue 3 Course.
