Refine and improve the finer points of your paddling skills on this 2 day advanced sea kayaking course.
During the two days we aim to cover the following;
With a focus on finding fast moving water on which to test your skills, potential paddling challenges include tidal races, overfalls whirlpools and standing waves.
Location options include: the Swellies, North and South Stack, Rhoscolyn Sound & Beacon, Penryhn Mawr and Harry Furlough’s Rocks. These obviously depend upon the weather conditions and overall standard and ability of the group.

Minimum standard;
You must be able to handle a sea kayak in moderate to rough conditions and be able to roll
It is essential you are at the standard to ensure everybody really gets the most out of this weekend.
Our friendly instructors will be with you every step of the way, offering clear instruction, guidance and encouragement
Plas Menai will provide all necessary personal protective clothing including cags, buoyancy aids, spray decks, helmets and safety equipment.
Please bring with you;
- Swimming togs & towel
- Footwear for on the water (closed toe, with grippy sole, no flip flops or crocs).
- Sock that cover your ankles
- 50p for locker
