Take your paddling to the next level on this 5 day progression course designed to improve your sea paddling skills.
During the five days we aim to cover the following;
There is no fixed agenda for the week, but you will get the chance to paddle in a variety of locations. Courses are tailored to your individual needs and aspirations.
The North Wales and Anglesey coast is renowned as having some of the best sea kayaking locations in the world, meaning there are always plenty of options whatever the weather conditions.
Your paddling skills will develop as we take you to more challenging waters, with the option of introducing you to small tidal races and overfalls.
In addition, we will cover coastal navigation, tidal and trip planning.
By the end of the 5 days, you should be well prepared to undertake more challenging coastal trips.

Minimum Standard;
You should be comfortable paddling forwards and manoeuvring a sea kayak in moderate conditions and be able to make edged turns
Our friendly instructors will be with you every step of the way, offering clear instruction, guidance and encouragement
Plas Menai will provide all necessary personal protective clothing including wetsuits, cags, buoyancy aids, spray decks, helmets and safety equipment.
Please bring with you;
- Swimming togs & towel
- Footwear for on the water (closed toe, with grippy sole, no flip flops or crocs).
- Sock that cover your ankles
- 50p for locker
